by Carissa Dunphy on January 16, 2013

new facebook cover photo rulesEffective January 15, 2013 Facebook’s guidelines have changed yet again. One of the most significant changes is in regards to the Cover Photo on your profile and/or page. Here are the rules directly from Facebook:

Covers may not include:
  • images with more than 20% text;
  • price or purchase information, such as “40% off” or “Download it on socialmusic.com”;
  • contact information such as a website address, email, mailing address, or information that should go in your Page’s “About” section;
  • references to Facebook features or actions, such as “Like” or “Share” or an arrow pointing from the cover photo to any of these features; or
  • calls to action, such as “Get it now” or “Tell your friends.”

Followed by, “We reserve the right to reject or remove Pages for any reason…”

You better make some changes if any of these items listed are on your cover photo!

Personally I think the changes which Facebook did are worth. It changed the functionality of the Facebook and made it more simple. The Graph Search did rest of the things.

Facebook nowadays is like a habit of everyone though it’s one of the biggest trending site all over the world. Facebook helps you connect more easier to your friends, relatives or even love ones. More people are now using facebook as part of thier everyday life because they can post everything whatever they wanted to. As time goes by facebook is always on it’s innovation and now we can customize our Facebook Cover Photo. I find it more lovely here because the designs are quit unique and it’s one of a kind.
