The much anticipated has finally become available. For some time scheduling Facebook updates from third party apps has worked well, but never really functioned seamlessly. Here’s how:

Begin typing a status update from your page and this little “schedule” clock will appear in the bottom left corner. Click on this and you can select the day and time you want the update to post.

After you type in your update, click the clock and select a year, month, day, hour and minute for your post. Minutes are available in ten minute increments, and you can schedule through the end of the current year. You can also schedule posts in the past, which will appear on your timeline in order as if you originally posted it back on that date. When scheduling in the past you have the option to exclude from the present newsfeed. Scheduled updates appear in the timeline and newsfeed exactly the same as if the post was updated live.
One more important piece of information to this new feature is where to find and how to modify scheduled updates. At the top of your page click “Admin Panel” if it is not yet already shown. Under the “Manage” menu click “Use Activity Log”, this is where scheduled updates will show. From the
activity log, hover over the post you wish to modify and a dropdown arrow will appear on the right side. You have the ability to change the date/time of the post, publish now, or cancel the post. Content of the post can not be modified once scheduled.
Blog post complete, now I will go schedule it on Facebook! What do you think of this new feature?
